Our beginnings —

Curtis' life was profoundly touched and forever altered by his late wife’s battle with cancer. He now seeks to share the lessons of strength, hope, and the power of facing life’s toughest challenges head-on, as inspired by his wife’s enduring mantra: run to the hard…”

Starting with Facebook posts, Curtis began sharing snippets of his wife’s memories along with her mantra for life. After the following went from a few hundred to a few thousand, it became obvious that God wanted to use Michal's story for much more than anyone expected.

Grief impacts many of us —

There is no preparation plan for grief. Once loss occurs, often people are left in isolation of the grief cycle. 2.5 Million people die in the United States annually, each leaving an average of five grieving people behind. With 12.5 Million people experiencing grief this year alone, grief is everywhere, and it can give us reasons to hide.

In grief, we all have hidden in the shadows. We have darted from conversations. We shop alone. We eat alone. We go to church alone. We unwillingly have joined a club that we never intended to be apart of. We have an unspoken language but we understand each other.

Around grief, our friends and family are struggling. We want to help, but aren't always sure about what to say, how to say it, and if our helping will cause more hurting.

Our hope as a podcast is to create a community and a way to connect with others about grief and trauma. Hearing about other people's experiences can be a source of comfort and catharsis for those experiencing grief.

This is not just for those who have experienced grief themselves, but also for those who want to support their friends and family who are going through it.

Join us as engage all sides of grief from a Biblical perspective and make sense out of it, together.

Grief and loss hit everyone different - so many circumstances can impact it. But, these episodes address so much that helps and cause me to think through my own pain. I highly recommend listening if you or someone you know is going through grief.

I do not know Michal or Curtis but I sure wish I had.  What an amazing woman and what a testimony. If you are grieving over the loss of someone please listen to this podcast. This story is touching and beautiful. Curtis is a fantastic writer, go back through his Facebook pages and read about his journey of losing Michal.  It’s worth the read.

Sam Crow Run To The Hard
Sam Crow

Turning to friends, family members, and colleagues for comfort and understanding is often the first instinct for many after a deep loss, but few people really know how to speak to someone who is experiencing deep grief. Curtis & Chris are both well equipped, from their personal experiences and passion, to encourage those in and around grief on what it looks like to run to the hard together.
